Tervetuloa omille sivuilleni! Olen paljasjalkainen turkulainen ekologi ja toimin projektitutkijana Turun yliopiston Aerobiologian yksikössä. Tällä hetkellä keskityn toukokuussa 2010 aloitettuun Siitepölypäiväkirja-hankkeeseen, jossa allergikko voi tallentaa tietoja allergiaoireistaan ja saada palautteena kaavion josta näkee, kuinka hyvin oireet kävivät yksiin paikallisen siitepölypitoisuuden kanssa. Valmistuin Turun yliopistosta filosofian tohtoriksi 22.4.2010. Väitöskirjani käsitteli ilmanlaadun ja muiden ympäristötekijöiden vaikutusta MS-taudin pahenemisvaiheisiin. 
Harrastuksenani kirjoitan lehtijuttuja mm. tiede- ja terveysaiheista. Olen myös tehnyt nettisivut Lääketieteellisen mykologian seura ry:lle ja asunto-osakeyhtiöllemme As Oy Osmonkalliolle.

Welcome to my personal pages! Currently I am working as a project researcher the Aerobiology Unit of the University of Turku. My main project at the moment concerns joining Finland in the European Pollen Diary, the free service for pollen allergic people, which you can join at www.pollendiary.com!
On 22 April, 2010 I graduated as a PhD from the University of Turku. My doctoral thesis was entitled "Ecological and epidemiological analyses of Multiple Sclerosis relapse rate". The study took an epidemiological approach to the effects of air quality and other environmental factors on relapse occurrence in Multiple Sclerosis, an autoimmune neurologic disease. 
Aerobiology Unit produces pollen reports for Finland. There is also an accredited laboratory for analysis of construction material samples in case moisture problems cause mould in buildings. On my spare time, I write journal articles about various topics in health and science.
